Fran has spent more than 30 years in the communications industry - first, as a journalist and, later, working at and consulting for leading PR and marketing firms, including FleishmanHillard, BioSector 2, Weber Shandwick, and MSL. She also has worked with pharmaceutical companies, including Novo-Nordisk, Genentech, AbbVie and Helsinn, coaching their corporate communications teams on how to work effectively with the media. 

Over the course of her career, Fran has collaborated with leading health reporters, medical experts, research scientists and health leaders, including three U.S. Surgeons General, and she has spearheaded partnerships with government agencies and private organizations, including the National Science Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
