When not at work, where would we likely find you?

Planning my next surfing trip. I discovered a late-onset love of surfing 25 years too late and am making up for lost time.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Don’t waste time and energy worrying about what other people think about you. What others think of you is their business and you won’t change it by not being true to yourself.

What is your proudest professional achievement?

Leading reporting on GSK’s bribery scandal in China for Wall Street Journal in 2013, which required professional bravery, curiosity and stamina and taught me a great deal about both journalism and the pharmaceutical industry.
